There's a code editor that I see everywhere that has a black background with very vivid colored text. Which editor is this? Code editor with black background and color text? Ask Question. Mac text/code editor. Text editor to open big (giant, huge, large) text files. TextEdit with selected text blocks in differing background colors So how then did I actually do that? With a little help from Mac OS X Hints contributors Michel Scriban and toc-rox, that’s how.

PowerPoint can be used to create dazzling graphic displays, but when you print files, the program will conserve as much ink as possible, resulting in basic overviews of your presentation. If you are not worried about the amount of ink you use and want the effect of white text on a black background, you can easily set the software to print the way you want it. Instead of using the 'Black & White' or 'Grayscale' options, you will have to manually set the backgrounds for your printer.
1.Click on the 'Office Menu' icon at the top of the screen and select 'Save As.' Save a copy of your project as 'FileName_BlackBackground.' This is essential if you want to keep any regular backgrounds or frames for your digital presentation.
2.Click on the 'Design' tab and select 'Background Styles.' Click on 'Format Background' and select the 'Fill' icon in the pop-up window.
3.Click on the 'Color' icon and select black. Click on the 'Apply to All' icon. All of the slide backgrounds will now be pure black.
4.Click on the 'Themes' icon in the 'Design' tab. Click on 'Colors' and then select the white letter font. All of the text in your presentation will turn to white.
5.Click on the 'Office' logo and select 'Print Setup.' In the 'Color/Grayscale' drop-down menu, select 'Color.' If you select 'Grayscale' or 'Black and White' PowerPoint will reverse the colors to conform to their standard printing procedure.
6.Select how many slides you want per page and press the 'Print' button when done. The slides will now print with black backgrounds and white text.
Warning
- Using these settings will drain a significant amount of printer ink.
