How To Change Default Search Engine In Chrome

EDIT: **SOLVED** --> Sorry to be a pest guys, I was trying to fix things for quite a while before i posted on here, but the solution was quite trivial. I had to change 'Default search engine' in the dropbox in Safari preferences > general (duh) as well as the 'Homepage' default. Again, sorry, I'm a bit of a Mac noob!
Hi everyone,
I need your help. I installed uTorrent, and in the latest version they sneakily change your web browsing settings. My homepage and address bar search settings were changed from Google to Yahoo. I've gone into Preferences > General > home page and changed it back to Google, and I've deleted Safari extensions in preferences too, which changed the homepage back, HOWEVER, if I search from the address bar, it still uses Yahoo! I want Google back! It is exceedingly frustrating, please help me fix this niggling problem.
Thanks,
Matt
EDIT: By the way, I'm using MBA OS 10.9 Mavericks.

This hint describes a way of changing Safari's default search engine. Unlike the method which was posted a couple of days ago, this method does not block normal access to google.com. This hint assumes you are familiar with the vi text editor. First, quit Safari and make a backup copy of the application. Step 3: Change your default search engine to Google Click the Details ยป button, and then check both boxes next to Use as default search engine and Use as Speed Dial search engine. If you use the Safari browser on your iOS devices (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) and on your Mac; you can easily change your default search engine; so that when you search something, your results will come from the search engine you select.
