How To Turn Off Text To Speech In Discord For A Mac

The Speak feature in Microsoft Office enables text-to-speech (TTS) in OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. By downloading additional TTS engines for other languages, you can change the voice selection to hear the text read in those languages. TTS engines are also necessary to hear translations with the Mini Translator.

In the 'Speech' window, make sure the 'Text to Speech' tab is selected, as shown in Fig 3. If it is not, click on it, or press Ctrl + F7 to highlight one of the tabs and then press the left.

Important: The Speak feature will not work with Windows XP.

To learn how to use the TTS feature in Excel, see Converting text to speech in Excel.

For example, if you have a German TTS engine from another company and you also install the German Microsoft TTS engine from the Download Center, the third-party TTS engine will always be used. If you uninstall the third-party TTS engine, Speak will automatically use the TTS engine from the Download Center.
